A professor from the Marine Science Center publishes research in Clarivert and Scopus databases

Assistant Professor Uday Mohammed Hassan Qasim published a research paper entitled “Data quality recorded from the commercial transactions of Iraqi marine fisheries in the northwest of the Persian Gulf” in the Iranian Journal of Fisheries Sciences published by the Iranian Fisheries Research Institute (IFSRI).

The journal, which has a Scopus and Clarivate Q3 rating and an impact factor of 1.8, publishes research related to fisheries, the aquatic environment, aquaculture, fish health, processing, and sustainability.

The research addressed the current state of fishery resources in Iraqi marine waters and the reality of marine fishing and fish production, which suffer from a set of interrelated problems that require a distinguished scientific effort to develop a general strategy to address them in order to develop and grow marine fishery resources for sustainable fisheries.
