Center for Marine Sciences Participates in Workshop on the Strait of Hormuz

Dr. Zainab Fadel Al-Tamimi from the Marine Sciences Center at the University of Basra participated in a workshop titled “The Strait of Hormuz: Gateway to the Gulf and the Struggle for International Influence,” organized by the Second Police College in Basra in collaboration with the Gulf Academy for Maritime Studies and the Center for Basra and Arabian Gulf Studies at the University of Basra.

The purpose of attending the workshop was not directly political, but rather to present the scientific and technical dimensions of the power struggle in the Strait and to transform maritime knowledge into a tool for supporting stability and preventing environmental and navigational disasters.
