Prof. Dr. Kazim Hassan Younis Al-Rubaie chaired the committee for the defense of the master’s thesis submitted by graduate student Reham Mushtaq Hazaam at the College of Marine Sciences – University of Basra, titled
  *A Study of the Distribution of Macronutrients and Micronutrients in the Waters of Khor Al-Zubair, Northwest Arabian Gulf*
The main objective of the study on the distribution of macronutrients (such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and silicon) and trace nutrients (dissolved trace elements such as iron, zinc, and manganese) in the waters of Khor Al-Zubair was to monitor the spatial and temporal variations in these concentrations and to assess the impact of surrounding human and industrial activities on water quality and the ecological balance of the region
The defense took place in an outstanding academic atmosphere and featured in-depth scholarly discussions, during which Dr. Kazim Hassan Younis offered a series of precise scientific observations and guidance that enriched the discussion and enhanced the research value of the dissertation.
At the conclusion of the session, the examination committee expressed its appreciation for the effort expended in preparing the dissertation and commended the significance of the findings reached by the student, wishing her continued success in her academic and research career
